There was always at least one and sometimes two people spotting the baby at all times.

Australia was absolutely beautiful and I totally envy all the photographers who live along this gorgeous coast line! Our little models and new mommies were also quite stunning as well. Combined they made for some amazing set ups! Thanks again to all that participated in making the outdoor shoots possible! In other news… I released the 2012 workshop schedule- TODAY! I think Carrie and I both agree that having the opportunity to photograph photographer’s newborns is truly an honor. We had the best time working with Drew B. Photography and family. Since Mama was a photographer we made it a priority to get pictures of Mommy + Baby together, since she is usually the one behind the camera instead of front of it. Kennedy couldn’t be happier than to cuddle up to Mama, too. I got so many smiling shots of her in her Mama’s arms! This week I’m also traveling to NY to photograph another photographer, Jessica Washburn, baby. I can’t wait!

I’ve been waiting for this session for years! When Jessica Claire Norwoood, world renowned wedding photographer, first announced her engagement, I became one of those annoying people wanting to know when they were going to have a baby. Only I asked in a baby photographer’s manner, “When shall I book your newborn session?”! haha!

So… I am so excited to not only meet the wonderful Jessica, but also her loving husband, Jeff, their adoring pup, Acey and last but not least, their adorable new addition, Locke.

Carrie and I kicked off our Monday in L.A. with a beautiful newborn boy. He was such a trooper as our “studio” was not all that warm when we began the session. The studio warmed up and so did he; sharing several irresistibly adorable grins with us.

Carrie and I are pleased to finally unveil our current project: Baby as Art. Our new identity was born after a recent change of direction. We feel that our new name truly describes our passion for capturing the truest works of art: our tiny subjects! For our photography peers, please don’t worry! There will be a book, a work book and possibly a few more exciting plans in our future. For our clients, Carrie and I couldn’t be more happy to come together and capture your baby as art. 

Our new website is live with beautiful new artwork from both Carrie and Brittany.
