a newbornful month.

Carrie and I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph nine newborns in a little over a month’s time! We had an amazing November and had the chance to meet many new and growing families. We still have one newborn left to photograph together this year; in Hawaii! We leave Friday to photograph (we are crossing our fingers) a three day old baby. Afterwards, Carrie will head back to San Diego and Ill be traveling to Atlanta to be with my family for the holidays. I have a new cousin due to arrive on Christmas day, so hopefully I will get a chance to photograph her as well before I leave again for San Diego! I still have a few more newborns left to post. Hopefully I won’t be too distracted with the holidays! This beauty was five days old when we photographed her.

Little pixie in her cocoon.

Her gorgeous mommy participated in Carrie’s maternity segment with Nikon’s Carson Kressley Look Good in Pictures and traveled all the way to our studio with her brand new baby for a session. She was a mere five days old and was as snug as a bug while she lounged in our cocoon.

little personality.

Amaya was a wonderfully happy little soul and was full of adorable poses.  We started inside, but quickly found ourselves at our favorite outdoor area on a beautifully warm November day.

pucker up, Caden.

Keeping with the one portrait per post, for more impact, it’s hard for me to post just a close up, because this boy was beautiful. It’s okay to say that until they are at least one, right? I couldn’t resist those plump lips. At a mere four days old, Caden was the perfect model for us and an absolute joy to photograph!

Stella, baby.

Ah yes, we do photograph babies over 5 days every once in a while. Our second favorite age right behind newborns is right around 6-7 months! We love it when our models’ little personalities are blossoming. It always helps when they aren’t yet crawling, too. This was our second time photographing little Stella. Her big twin brothers have been behind Carrie’s lens for years, though!
